Burbank Senior Artists Colony will consist of 141 apartment homes in a four-story building above a parking garage. Amenities at this community will include a technology center, theatre, library, arts and crafts room, and a large community room. Educational classes and senior services will be provided on-site by More Than Shelter For Seniors, a public benefit, non-profit corporation whose mission is to enhance the lives of senior citizens. In 2003 the community was the Gold Medal Winner for The Best of Seniors Housing ("On the Boards" Service Enriched Housing), an award given by the National Association of Home Builders and the National Council on Seniors' Housing.
